Ryan learned the art of pie making from his brother Neil, who from humble beginnings, experimenting with pies in his home kitchen, is now one of the most exciting fine food producers in the UK. His achievements include winning the title of Supreme Pie Champion of Great Britain in 2015.
That same year, Ryan gave up his job in advertising and became a full-time pie maker. Ryan is now a familiar face at Sydney’s farmers markets, and you will find our pies on the menu of Sydney pubs, restaurants, cafes and butchers counters as well as online at Vic’s Meats.
Handcrafted pies
Starting with the pastry, we use an all-butter recipe, pressed very finely in custom-made tins to keep the bite light.
The fillings we source from farmers, producers and market stallholders in New South Wales. Our best sellers are the classics; Beef and Onion, Chicken and Leek and Cheese and Onion. We also collaborate with some of Australia’s leading chefs, keeping our range new and interesting by trying different flavour combinations like Pepper Steak using Sauce by Manu.
